Membership is the strength of the Maryland Grain Producers Association. As a MGPA member, you will be a part of the national grain network with membership benefits from the National Corn Growers Association, National Association of Wheat Growers, and National Barley Growers Association, in addition to having a forum to address your concerns right here in Maryland. Grain Store

An annual report that is mailed to 3,500 Maryland farmers, featuring Check-Off funded grants made to support research, market development, and education. You can review past reports here.

State and Federal Policies

Serving as the voice of grain farmers in the governmental process, the Maryland Grain Producers Association works to protect and promote the grain industry in Maryland. Officers, staff, and members participate in the legislative and administrative process both in Annapolis and Washington DC to work for positive business and environmental policies to promote a viable and thriving grain industry in Maryland. Affiliations with the national grain organizations, as well as the U.S. Grains Council and U.S. Wheat Associates, ensures your strong representation on issues such as trade, crop insurance, renewable fuel standard, and the farm bill. Maryland Commodity Classic

Members receive a complimentary ticket to the annual Maryland Commodity Classic on the fourth Thursday in July. This includes educational workshops, research project presentations, updates from national partners, and everyone’s favorite, a chicken and beef BBQ with a crab feast!

National Corn Yield Contest

Multiple-Year National Corn Yield Winner, Drew Haines

The premier event of every corn growing season since 1965, the National Corn Yield Contest (NCYC) offers challenges and rewards to each entrant!
